Dear members of the Cerdi Alumni Benin Network,

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the death, on October 17, 2025, of Professor Elisabeth SADOULET, an eminent economist and teacher-researcher recognized throughout the world.

Ms. SADOULET has marked generations of students and researchers by the rigor of her teaching, the clarity of her thinking and her unwavering commitment to a development economy rooted in the reality of the countries of the South. Many of us remember an exceptional, demanding but caring teacher, always available to share her knowledge and encourage the pursuit of excellence.

The Cerdi Alumni Network of Benin joins in the pain of his family, his colleagues and the entire community of Cerdi and the University of Clermont Auvergne.
We pay an emotional and grateful tribute to her for the intellectual and human legacy she leaves us.
